Interview of a Book
BP: Hello, and welcome everyone, to a new episode of our podcast “How I Made the World a Better Place”. I’m your host Blank Paper, BP for short, and I’m joined here today with a New York Times Bestseller, A Man Called Ove who was freed by the mind and hand of Fredrik Backman. He’s visited the minds of millions of people but one experience stood out to him, which he’s written in his essay “Girl Meets Book”. Thank you for joining us today, A Man Called Ove.
AMCO: Thank you for having me, BP. And please, call me AMCO.
BP: AMCO, why don’t you tell our listeners a little bit about yourself? Of course, without any spoilers!
AMCO: Yes of course, I definitely wouldn’t want to spoil myself. As my name suggests, I’m about a man called Ove. It’s as simple as that! Let me ask you something. If I described to you Ove as “… a curmudgeon — the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window” what is your first impression of him?
BP: Well if he disliked me, I’d be sure to stay out of his way. Heck, maybe I would avoid him in the first place. Wouldn’t even give him a chance to dislike me, although sounds like he’d find one anyways.
