There once was a little girl in the 5th grade whose name was Becky. In all aspects, she had the perfect childhood: plenty of friends, all the books she’s ever asked for, and most importantly, a mother that did anything and everything for her.

“I want to eat that today,” Becky excitedly declared as she climbed into her mother’s car after school.

“You’ll have to be a little more specific darling,” her mother responded.

“The hotdog thing,” Becky said being slightly more specific.

“Ah you want the Angel Hair pasta with homemade tomato sauce and cut up hotdogs?”

“Yeah, that!”

Her mother always knew what she wanted. Every night when they ate dinner, Becky would reach out and grab the air, without a word. It only meant one thing, and her mother would get her the napkin she needed. But only her mother knew, because whenever she went out of town, Becky would reach out into the air during dinner and her oblivious father wouldn’t know what she wanted.

“Ugh, the NAPKIN!” Becky was exasperated, her father never knew anything.

But, Becky didn’t always listen to her mother.
